"Atticus is...."
"not a man with a gun in his hand"
"but...I do my best to love."
"our society is unspeakable"
"makes men lose their heads"
"a court is no better"
"Atticus"
"gets along better with folks"
"makes the best of things"
"stand in Bob Ewell's shoes"
"that something I'll gladly take"
"I've got to live with myself"
"I...rarely win"
"Atticus"
"that's real courage"
"but you begin anyway"
"knowing you're licked before"
"no matter who he is"
"bravest person I ever knew"
"climb into his skin"
"consider things"
"keep your head up"
"fists down"
This week I will comment on Nikolas, Citalli, and Steven's Blogs.

ReplyDeleteThe beliefs of Atticus is that we live in a world full of racism in which people discriminate others based on their skin color. He also feels that people should see what real bravery and courage in which he is inspired by Miss Dubose's way of living. Atticus tries to teach his children most importantly Scout that she must consider a person by their point of view and that she must put herself in their skins. In my opinion he represents real courage in which he stands for his opinion and even goes against the laws established in the country during the 1930's. He wants people to begin their life or their goals no matter what before you are being licked. That is why he inspires Miss Dubose a lady who began even though she knew she was going to pass away. In the book I feel like he encourages others to keep their head up and to fight using your head instead of your fists. In the last remaining chapters of the book he seems to put himself in Bob's shoes even though he spat in his face. I encourage others to climb into his skin because he is the bravest person I know.
